The BMW Motorrad F Series was originally launched in 2006 in both sporty and touring motorcycles. The iconic blue-and-white BMW G 450 X is a no-nonsense off-road bike with characteristics taken from the K Series, but with adventure GS features such as sparse bodywork, sharp angles and a tubular frame, constructed from twin stainless steel cross-tubes. Running a single-cylinder four-stroke engine, the BMW G 450 X has a light weight, which supports slow travelling over rough terrain. A simple solution to accommodate tension variations in the rear wheel, which BMW is among the first to implement in its Motorrad bikes, is the hollow countershaft, rotating around the swing-arm pivot point in the rear wheel. A problem with endurance suspension for decades, this rear tension variation has been eliminated by BMW’s groundbreaking technology.

The flagship K Series was rolled out in October 2008 with more displacement than its used BMW K 1200 counterpart, which has resulted in improved performances. Used BMW K Series bikes have four-cylinder engines with shaft drive, providing BMW urban racing at its finest.

The most standout feature in the sporty K 1300 S is that it delivers 130KW of power at 9250rpm – which is a peak delivery higher than its predecessor - and reached far more quickly. BMW K 1300 GT bikes are touring motorcycles tuned for power output at the lower spectrum scale, delivering 119KW of power at 9000rpm.
