The Audi A1 Sportback

Audi achieved something really special with the A1, and even more so with the A1 Sportback.

Test-driving the new Audi A1 was not what I expected, no, it was a wholly different experience. From the outside the A1 looks like a small hatchback, but once I had sat in the driverÕs seat, I was surprised by the amount of space Audi have managed to create.

My surprise was heightened when I trampled the accelerator and the A1 sprinted towards the illegal speed barriers with breath-taking enthusiasm.

The nimble and sure footed road manners of the A1 added to the confidence I felt when zipping through the numerous traffic circles dotted all over Umhlanga, La Lucia and Ballito. Sharp precise braking and gutsy acceleration could easily have had me thinking that I was in a much larger Audi. The interior head and legroom had already achieved that perspective.

Driving the A1 Sportback provided an experience that will be relished by those drivers who enjoy a spirited performance. Sporty, agile and very comfortable, the Audi A1 Sportback is something that deserves to be experienced.

So whether it is the Audi A1 or Audi A1 Sportback, you are in for a treat.
