It’s About Family
There is nothing more deer than Family and at Christmas time, where this is more apparent than any other. While test-driving the new Chrysler Grand Voyager, my thoughts turned again and again to family. The Grand Voyager is the perfect family vehicle with amazing ease of use features like the automatic opening and closing side doors, automatic opening and closing boot hatch and automatic stowing and setting of the back seats.
A genuine seven-seater, with the most wonderful feature that allows you to fold the rear seats forward or stow them completely out of sight at the touch of a button. Loading the shopping could not have been easier and my wife and fellow Motoring Journalist, Kasia, was raving about the Grand Voyager. “Lets get one,” she enthused after a trip to Makro.
It was the week of the Matric Rage and my eldest Damian, a budding motoring journalist (he just doesn’t know it yet), had a string of friends as long as Compensation Beach Road. I felt like Superdad as I pulled up to offer them a lift and the side doors slid open at the touch of a button, the rear door a cavernous light filled wonderland. “Wow Mr. Yoko, this is an awesome car, Sir” his obvious private school accent and manner filled with sincerity. Everybody who got into the Grand Voyager loved it. I did not get a single negative remark.
Safety, power, handling, comfort, versatility, everything about the Voyager was remarkable. Behind the wheel of the Voyager, I felt confidence from the acceleration, braking and road holding manner.
The only drawback this car could have is that it is too big, if that is ever a problem.
