The New CR-V For Me
It had been a long trek from the other side of the planet, I had been sent on the arduous task of evaluating the icy slopes of an Eastern European country in freezing temperatures for the travel section. More on that later, what awaited me on my return was the new Honda CR-V. Sophisticated in a dazzling silver tone, the Honda CR-V glinted under the neon lights of the underground airport parking. First impressions are lasting impressions and I took a moment, as tired as my weary legs were, to walk around the CR-V and take in its impressive styling. I had had enough of sitting, in the plane, on the bus, at departures, my rear was motivating me to stay on my feet for a while, but necessity demanded that I sit once again, this time behind the wheel of the CR-V. It was so comfortable the complaining stopped immediately and I was enthralled by the clean neat interior. Having just come form minus 22 to plus 27 with the relative humidity reminding me of Christmas dinner with all the relatives, I immediately jammed on the dual automatic climate control and in seconds the welcome cool air was breezing over my exasperated face and body. I slipped the seatbelt on effortlessly and was in my element. The two-litre i-VTEC, 16-valve, in-line 4-cylinder engine purred noiselessly as I tickled the steering wheel and increased the volume on Alicia Keys signing Brand New Me. My familyÕs faces all lit up as I approached them and their mountain of luggage, their enthusiasm for the new Honda CR-V unmistakeable, Its got Bluetooth, its got AUX, its got iPod USB, its got everything.
