A-Class Revolution
Mercedes-Benz A-Class are on the rampage with a succession of new models bursting onto the motoring scene. One of my recent test cars was the A180, a revolution for Mercedes-Benz, in that they redesigned the new A-Class from the ground up. I don’t think the new A-Class even uses the same tyres as the old one. This will certainly appeal to a younger customer base and introduce these motoring underlings to a Merc style of life. The A-Class has been equipped with a range of Mercedes-Benz technological specs like the radar-based Collision Prevention Assist system, which monitors the car and other objects in front of you, as well as Attention Assist that will warn you when you get sleepy behind the wheel and Pre-Safe, which does a whole number of things to the car if it detects a possible collision. The A180 was super, and then I was introduced to the A250 Sport, wow, this was enough machine for me. In Sport mode the A250 is an adrenaline producing wild thing. The nimble steering and nippy acceleration made driving this car a real blast. As far as the A45 AMG version of the A-Class goes, I can only speculate. Some say that there is too much muscle for such a little body, but others say that that is just how they like it. This car is going to put smiles on faces that’s for sure.
