Enter The Juke
Getting behind the wheel of the extremely popular Nissan Juke was different. I get behind the wheel of most cars, however the Juke has something unique. The unconventional styling appealed to me, it is not retro, it is also not too futuristic. The designers of the Juke have struck a wonderful balance between revolutionary design and every day functionality. It is the kind of car you would expect Batman to drive. The Juke is considered a mini SUV, or Sports Utility Vehicle. The model I tested was very enthusiastic; I hardly had to press the accelerator for it to be swishing forward eagerly. The smooth gear change and well laid out cockpit controls added to the comfort and at-home feeling I got from the Juke. Fun to drive? Yes it certainly is. The quick acceleration and ground clearance add to the feeling of confidence you get when behind the wheel of the Nissan Juke. Pierre Loing, Vice President, Product Planning and Zero Emission’s business unit, Nissan International SA, Rolle, Switzerland, says “It takes the best elements of an SUV and passenger sport cars and combines them. It’s roomy yet compact, robust yet dynamic and practical yet playful. These are qualities that seem to contradict each other, yet come together in Juke to create something that’s genuinely unique. The Juke is now also available in diesel.
