En Vogue
I could not believe my luck. The agents for Land RoverÕs press cars had just pulled into my driveway with a glinting silver Range Rover Vogue. Yes you read that right, the Vogue, no not the Evoque, however I would not have complained, this was the Range Rover Vogue. I was in awe, I was enthralled, I was captivated. What is it about the Range Rover Vogue? Is it the low grumble of pure muscle that emanates from under the hood? Is it the ultimate plush luxury of the smooth wood inlay on the steering wheel? Or is it the sense of total control over a vehicle that weighs over two tons and can travel at over 230 kilometers per hour? For me it was a combination of all of these and everything else the Range Rover Vogue represents. The precise craftsmanship of the double stitch leather upholstery, the precision engineering of the terrain response program and the smooth power that accelerates you and this car, with such aplomb and sophisticated dignity, from standstill to what feels like free flight in the shortest time imaginable. I know you may say that I am waxing lyrical, but how else do you respond to the perfection and ultimate luxury of the world’s best SUV? The Range Rover options will not be an easy choice though. First you have the LR-SDV8 diesel engine, with 700 Newton meters of torque or the 510PS 5.0 litre LR-V8 supercharged engine that hops this 2.4-ton vehicle from 0 to a hundred in just 6,1 seconds. If you get a chance to test drive the best four by four by far, take it.
