The Renault Sandero
The new Renault Sandero is here and this compact hatch will thrill your adventure senses and inspire you to travel the long and windy road. I had the pleasure of test driving the funky new Renault Sandero Stepway. The best person to take along for the drive is my eighteen-year-old son Dominic, who recently got his driver’s licence and knows more about cars than me. Having grown up in a household of test cars, Dominic is my best critic. I must admit he surprised me with a stern silence. I took a double take to see if he was still breathing, to my surprise he sat in passenger’s seat with big grin, Mom I think I know which car I want for a first car. With the raised suspension and adopting a more rugged exterior style, its perfectly pitched to attract the younger crowd that would love to drive an SUV but are embarrassed about the size of the body. What impressed me most about this car is the space in the boot and interior. Its economical and relatively inexpensive to maintain and the best perk of all, with the new Renault Sandero Stepway, is that you get all the comfort and convenience features you could need. It isn’t too much of a squeeze in the back either, with plenty of space for three adults to fit in, shoulder to shoulder. Perfect for Dominic and his mates. With the addition of its standard-fit roof bars and raised suspension, the Stepway is that little bit more practical than the standard Sandero. It really is a great economical vehicle for a young family or a perfect first car for a young driver. It was Wendell Berry who said, The difference between a path and a road is not only the obvious one. A path is little more than a habit that comes with knowledge of a place. It is a sort of ritual of familiarity. As a form, it is a form of contact with a known landscape. It is not destructive. It is the perfect adaptation, through experience and familiarity, of movement to place; it obeys the natural contours; such obstacles as it meets it goes around. Test drive a Sandero Stepway today and discover your path to a sound, affordable and safe drive worthy of its international acclaim.
