Getting Rad In A Rav
This must have been one of the easiest things to do. To get rad in a Toyota Rav4 all you need to do is get behind the wheel. Toyota started the radical move to compact SUV’s with the introduction of the very first Rav4 which appeared on the motoring scene in 1994 and immediately gained world wide popularity.
The Rav4 that was perched on my pavement seemed the very picture of potential energy. If you didn’t take science in high school, potential energy is the energy a body possesses by virtue of its position relative to other bodies, stresses within itself, electrical charges and other factors. Well, in relation to my body, the new Rav4 was practically quivering with potential.
The bold styling and aggressive “can do” stance of the new compact SUV was not to be resisted by me for another minute. I had to get behind the wheel and take the Rav4 on an adventure, somewhere inaccessible, somewhere inhospitable, somewhere out there. Getting there was easy and almost as much fun as pitting this mighty all wheel drive against the furrows and ruts a recent rain had scoured into the bank I was descending.
The Rav4 is available in four engine variants including a diesel option and all four are very fuel efficient and of course it has hill start assist, downhill assist and a very long list of features. Packed with active and passive safety features and filled with Toyota’s reliability, the Rav4 legend lives on.
